Christos Papageorgiou is among the internationally renown Greek Musicians of the New Generation.
He has to show till today a wide range of international awards and critics from the most prestigious media all over the world. He also shows a remarkable artistic activity as a pianist as well as a composer to the world's major music centers.
Studying at the same time to the Civil engineers University and the Athens Conservatorium he graduates with the highest credits at the piano and composition with Aliki Vatikioti and Perikles Koukos (1st price and special award), attending at the same time composition lessons with John Andrew Papaioannou. He continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London (R.A.M) with full scholarship for all three years, receiving lessons from Tamas Vasary, Andras Shiff, Menahem Pressler and Aaron Shorr. He is awarded among others the Winniefred Christie Award and with the completion of his studies with Master's in Music, Diploma of Advanced Studies, LRAM (Teaching), he is announced Leverhume Fellow . At the same time he was awarded the Alexander Onassis Foundation Scholarship.
As a soloist and composer, Christos Papageorgiou has collaborated with orchestras such as the: Philarmonia, Orchestre Symphonique du Capitole de Toulouse, Czech Radio Symphony, Orchestre Symphonique de Neuchatel, Orquesta Ciudad de Malaga, Orchestra Sinfonica del' Emilia Romagna, Oxford Philomusica, London Soloists , Camerata of the Friends of Music, Athens State Orchestra, Thessaloniki State Orchestra, R.A.M. Sinfonia and with conductors such as Michel Plasson, Phillipe Entremont, Alexander Myrat a.o.

He has given concerts in important venues such as the : Berlin Philharmonie, Carnegie Hall, Barbican Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, Kensington Palace in presence of Prince Michael of Kent, Saint James's Palace - in presence of Prince Charles of Wales, Codaira Hall and Casals Hall (Tokyo), Rudolfinum Dvorak Hall, Basler Konzerthaus, Bern Kulturkasino, The Megaron of Athens, The Megaron of Thessaloniki, The Athens Summer Festival, The Patras Festival
His has recorded for major Radio Stations and international TV channels such as: Radio Berlin, Deutschland Radio, DDR Stuttgart, BBC London, Czech Radio, German Television ARD, Swiss Radio, RAI, National TV and Radio 3 of Greece. He also has been a UNICEF special guest at the GALA for the 50th anniversary with Harry Belafonte and Nana Mouschouri in Chicago.
In Piano Duo, his cooperation with pianist George Petrou has been characterized by the international media such as: "Die Welt", "Musical Opinion", "The Daily Telegraph" and many others around the world as one of the most remarkable of the recent years. During this collaboration they have won five International prizes in USA, Japan, Czech Republic, Italy and Switzerland. They have recorded Rachmaninoff's works for 2 pianos for Paradisum Records.
As a composer Christos Papageorgiou shows constantly an international activity in Great Britain, United States, France, Germany, Switzerland and composes regularly music for the concert stage as well as for theater and movies.
